This course is approved for 40 hours of Continuing Education Credits by the state of Georgia office of EMS. This is a NATEC Certified Tactical Medic Level-II (Basic SWAT School) program. This course includes Certified Tactical Medic level-I and level-II. Average physical fitness is a must! areas of education include but are not limited to. • Live fire training, • Dynamic clearing tactics • SWAT operations and techniques • Woodland operations and extraction. This is a very intense and dynamic course. Upon successful completion all participants will receive a Certified Tactical Medic Level-II and Basic SWAT School certification. Participants once accepted to the course should bring. • Handgun with appropriate external holster, this can be a waist or thigh rig • A minimum of 200 rounds of ammunition • Eye and hearing protection • BDU / 5.11 type pants with comfortable t-shirt • Boots with ankle support, all other gear will be issued.
Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) or Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) is highly recommended prior to attending this course.
